The Hardy Chair-Lok^® literally turns conventional rebar support upside down. Conventionally designed rebar support chairs use a large base or multiple legs resting on a firm sub-base to maintain the chair in the upright position. The Hardy Chair-Lok^® turns this concept upside down and uses the steel in the rebar mat to hold the chair upright. The Hardy Chair-Lok™ accomplishes this by utilizing a unique locking cap to solidly affix the chair to the rebar mat at the bar intersections. This locking mechanism serves as a fastener of the rebar, eliminating the need to wire-tie the joints at the intersections where chairs are installed, and also holds the mat in a perfectly square configuration.

The Hardy Chair-Lok^® line also includes a Double Mat Xtender^®, which is a chair base molded onto a locking cap. As the cap is placed onto the chair for the lower mat, the chair for the upper mat is automatically placed and ready to receive the steel. This design also allows the upper and lower bars to be built directly in line in conformance with CRSI specifications.
